NicoleWell Anton Allen, cats do have a taste for carbs! I have two to prove that! My oldest cat, who is 17 now, loves chips! She especially likes the cheddar and sour cream ruffles. In her younger days I caught her in a bag of chips chowing down all on her own! She also loves milk which is high in sugars. Read the label on a gallon of milk and see for yourself. Very high in carbs. Not to mention she'll eat ice cream and cheese. All have sugars.
My second testament is not that old, she's around 5 or 6. She's not a meat eater at all. I've tried to tempt her with raw scraps from the kitchen and cooked temptations and she turns up her nose. She will even look the other way at canned food most of the time. Her only exception is pastrami, in small doses. But what she will come running for is Ice Dream, a vanilla ice cream confection from Chick-fil-a. She loves standard vanilla ice cream as well. She will eat yogurt and sour cream at times.
So I can see why anti-freeze is a problem. Plus, look at the ingredients in cat food. Corn is a sugar, just like corn syrup in human food. You'll get the picture.
