This week I am left wondering what in my profile or picture has captured the attention of the younger generation, for once again the only interest I seem to be garnering is from the under 30 set.
The last two weeks have been a mixed bag of results, ranging from horrifyingly humorous to just damn strange. Did I get out on an actually meet? Yes, I did, but more on that later.
Summer’s last hurrah came this past weekend, blazing down with delightfully warm temperatures and sunny skies. To celebrate the end of the season I accompanied my best friend, her twelve year old daughter and her friend down to the beach.
Just to be clear here, I am not beach material. I have the complexion of an English vampire and react about as well to the burning rays of the fiery star in our sky. So with sunscreen on, big floppy straw hat on head and a Starbucks coffee in hand, I made my way out to the seashore. Okay, I forgot the sunscreen and had to borrow something sparkly and pink from the kids. I did mention I was not into the outdoors didn’t I?
