| Despite himself, Pearce grins at the onslaught of Fortinbras' personality. "Not in a bad mood Fort, not at all. This is a good setup indeed. And I guess there might be some sailing soon, might as well enjoy it." He drains his cup. "I don't reckon Tilgentor's daughter is likely to show up..?"

Fortinbras laughs. "Good man! That's the spirit." And in a somewhat lower voice. "And she a priestess of Nesirie too, shame on you Lord Pearce. Mind, they don't take vows of chastity, do they.." He seems to wax thoughtful for a moment. "Well, either way - thought i'd go introduce myself to this bard. Fill that cup up, m'Lord - that's an order!"
With the rolling swagger of a (slightly drunken) sailor, Fortinbras heads over to Tiesera and bows. "M'Lady! Might I beg you to let these mummers play for a split second and grant me the significant boon of your undivided attention? I should be indebted." He flashes his pearly white grin once more.

She nods with a grin. "My throat was getting quite parched from all the singing. You have my attentions for the price of a cup of wine." _________________ Why not a little music to cover the sounds of the belching m'lords?

"Your wish is my command m'Lady!" He spins around and surveys the rather crowded room. In the end he decides to roll deftly under a table to get to the barrel. When there, he fills two cups and on the way back jumps up on the table and walks over it - managing this feat without spilling much at all. He hands her the cup with a pleased grin.
"I believe that should just about cover it. Now then m'Lady, you claim to have played for rougher crowds than this. I must admit i'm disappointed - I pride myself on having only the scurviest sea-dogs sailing for me, and now it turns out I have been outdone!"

"Aye." She says, allowing a bit of her mhoeran accent escape. "Proudglaive used to be Ilien's much less seemly little brother when I first arrived some 10 years ago. Then there's the taverns of the North which water their ale with mead." _________________ Why not a little music to cover the sounds of the belching m'lords?

| He puts up a mock wry expression. "Ah, of course - as all of your profession, most likely too well travelled to fall for my suave banter. A damned shame. I suppose we'll have to talk about something of substance then, and i'll reveal that i'm really just a pretty face." He chuckles heartily at his own joke. "The Baroness and High Prefect, I take it, will not be joining the feast?"

"A pretty young face can still woo the ladies, sir." she says before sipping from her cup. "I can't say for his Holiness. As for the Baroness, she is attending to other matters." _________________ Why not a little music to cover the sounds of the belching m'lords?

| "Yes, i've heard it said. Unfortunately, i'm far too busy with my lofty duties to find out if it's true or not. A shame, to be sure." He takes another mouthful of wine. " Yes, well, the High Prefect doesn't seem like the type to sing songs about goblins, except if the word 'smiting' is somehow involved. So, what d'you think of Free Ilien, fair Lady?"

She nods. "I suppose you will have my Lady baroness to blame for that. It was her nomination that led to your most recent appointment."
"Ilien is the jewel of the Southern coast; a worthy centerpiece to any crown but one can boast just as pretty on its own." She smiles faintly once she noticed her own rhyme. _________________ Why not a little music to cover the sounds of the belching m'lords?

Sir Fortinbras raises his eyebrows in what seems to be genuine suprise. "She did? Really? Huh..I wouldnt've expected her to know my name, really. Well, I guess I became plain old regular Admiral this fall. And i've had some fairly impressive victories. His self-confident smile returns.
"Aha! You really are a bard. You rhyme even when you don't mean to, - if I rhyme, everyone would prefer I didn't do."
"I believe Ilien'll boast on its own still! At least as long as there's still strength in these two arms. Mind, how long that is might just be a question of how much wine i consume."

"Ah well.. i don't like to brag, but..."
"There was the duel with the Brecht gallant in Ilien. He'd insulted my liege by claiming better shipyards could be found in Brecht. Some have said he might've been right, but I guess that won't give him his eye back."
"The Venture, now that was a nice prize - added to our fleet now. Even with his crew defeated, the Captain - Red Harald - defended the bridge with his dying breath. My first mate say he'd nailed his feet to the deck to keep from giving ground, but I can't attest to the truth of that. He was a competent swordsman though"
"Was a small skirmish with some goblins in Diemed a few years back - near the Spiderfell. I was visiting an acquaintance see, and it came rather as a suprise. Luckily, I was able to utilize the local cattle as a form of cavalry - came as a shock to the goblins I daresay."
"I won't bore you with the tale of when I fell of my ship far far out in the Suidemiere. It's a wet yarn, believe me. And the three-legged goatmen of Caelcorwyn didn't even have the decency to lend me a ship when i swam up there, so I had to steal one of their flying horses." He hitches a thumb towards the First Secretary. "Lost it in a bet to Rogr a few years back."
He lowers his voice with a sly grin. "True every word, madame."

The First Secretary appears to be far too busy attempting to conjure a coin from behind the ear of one of the mummers and failing miserably to notice the Grand Admiral indicating him. _________________ And it's all for me grog me jolly, jolly grog
