Go to the Regents page and pick as many available domains as you like, in order of preference. (I would recommend sending three choices to avoid disapointment) |
|
|
Send your choices to DM Karen Along with your choices, write a short summary of your plans for each domain and how you intend to play it (a couple of sentences will do), and your contact information and the email address that you would like posted for other players. |
| After you have submitted this we will respond as quickly as time allows. |

Who is the DM and how do I find them?
Anarchy in Anuire actually has a DM team that works together to ensure that the game is fun for all the players and moves ahead smoothly Derek is the DM proper, he processes the Turns, makes most of the rulings and watches over the entire game. (so be nice to him.) Karen takes care of enrolling players, and is available for all the character development questions that arise during the game. Susan is their sidekick and fellow roleplaying addict. She is also the owner/adminstrator of the Bzorch.ca server. If you have questions regarding the history of the game, or background into a particular incident, contact her. Michael manages a number of DM controlled realms, and is our resident programmer and forums wizard.
We use D&D 3.5 edition rules and the BRCS play test. Also, see the rules section of the forum for additional rulings.
The DM posts each due date on the forum, each are approximately once per month.
How long in game time is each Turn?
Each turn lasts for one season of in game time, or three months.
Why are my Domain and Turn sheets returned as
PDF's?
Anarchy in Anuire's turns are processed with the aid of an online
turn submission form that is uploaded into a database. It is the amazing
brainchild of DM Team member Michael, and it makes turns much quicker and
cleaner to process. It also produces PDF readouts of your
turn and Domain sheet each turn.
How do I create my characters?
Please read the Rules Forum. Our few house rules and basic character correction are there. If you have specific questions, you may email Susan.
Also Feel free to use the following tools. Hyperlinked BRCS and Bzorch's Mini SRD
Read the Rules forum for all the answers.
What is the magic environment in Anuire? Can I buy a wish, limited wish, or a miracle?
Birthright is a very low magic world. Items of magical essence are rare and expensive, and such powerful spells as Wish, miracle, limited wish etc are not available at all. Wizards themselves are rare and considered to be somewhat of an unknown quality.
Can my regent die? If so, can I buy a Resurrect, Reincarnate or Raise Dead spell?
Yes, any of your characters
including your Regent can die. It is for this reason that adventuring with your
Regent is discouraged unless you are willing to risk their death.
Assassination, random events and adventures can all snuff out your Regent's
life. It is very important to have an heir declared for this reason, or else
you will be looking for a new realm to govern. Birthright is a very low magic
world. As with Wish, Miracle and Limited Wish, the spells that resurrect the
dead are not available in this world. So Death is as final in this fantasy realm
as it is in our own. Any attempts to convince the DM team otherwise may result
in a tragic bzorching incident.
Can I get pregnant? Can I get another character pregnant?
The DM team aims for a certain level of realism, including consequences to your characters actions. This includes the risk of pregnancy and disesase should your character choose to become sexually active. These are not modern times, and there was very little that could be done to prevent conception. The DM will determine via dice rolls if you have hit the baby jackpot. The Anuirean Birth Registry will be happy to provide you with your due date.
How do Bloodlines and Blood powers work?
Bloodlines and Blood powers are detailed in the Rules Section of the Forum. Please read this section before chosing your blood powers. Also, please remember that you are limited by your bloodline as to what powers you can take. i.e. If you are a major, you cannot take a Great level power.
Yes you can. Be warned that sending your Regent or a Lt off to adventure is risky and should not be taken up lightly. Adventures will need to be in keeping with the rumours or common knowledge of the game, you cannot simply "invent" a situation or location and send your regent there. The more detail you put into your plan, and the more well thought out it is, the better your chance of being successful. The DM will determine what (if anything) you find, and if you were successful in your goals.
What is this "Bzorching" I have hear of in this FAQ?
Bzorching is a term used to indicate that the DM has become annoyed or irritated by your questions or attitude and is preparing to evoke the dreaded Bzorch spell that renders you in grave danger with the DM team. We like it so much, we bought the domain name. :D
