According to the bards and historians of the land, to understand Cerilia, one must first understand its history. The struggles and triumphs of Cerilia's people, no matter how far in the past, still shape the land today. This chronicle attempts to aid the understanding of Cerilian history by charting all the major events that have helped to shape modern Cerilia. For a more detailed retelling of the history of the various regions of Cerilia you should refer to later chapters and the individual description of each realm.
The dates below are listed in Haelyn's Count (HC), which takes as its starting
point the battle of Mount Deismaar and the death of the old gods. Three other
calendars are also in common use in Cerilia, Masetian Reckoning (MA), which
takes as its starting point the first arrival of humans in Cerilia (-515 HC),
is common in the Khinasi lands. Michaeline Reckoning (MR), which commences with
the death of Michael Roele, the last emperor of Anuire (in 973 HC), is used
by the people of Anuire, and the elven calendar which commences with the birth
of Queen Tuar (in -3295 HC).
